💫Wednesday- Mercury 🦇🕊🪶
Mercury, the winged messenger, is our planet of communication and thinking. It is the traditional ruler of Gemini ♊️ the air sign representing the 3rd house of mental activity, thoughts, communication and even siblings. All of that pairs up well- makes sense! (Or as a childhood joke goes : makes cents donut 🍩)
I was born on a Wednesday, during a full moon and what would have been a Mercury Cazimi position very near to the Sun- making both my sun and my Mercury in Libra . Mine is a night chart, and all things considered, I should be most skilled in communicating my thoughts and ideas (when applied skillfully), in a playful way since the placement is in the 5th house of children, pleasure, sex and creative projects. I am also, curiously enough, a Gemini rising 😏
In the above photo, I am wearing demon wings, perhaps to represent the capacity for our words (and our thoughts) to do harm. It is open to interpretation, but I am running either away from drama and into winding roads of the great unknown- or (mis)delivering a message of significance OR literally anything that you can dream up relating to Mercurial qualities that give your experience substance. In my own life, my words and the words of others have shaped my entire mental landscape- verbal abuse runs rampant in many family dynamics, school dynamics, the work place, media, you name it.
So let’s choose our words wisely. Let’s frame our thoughts to be most beneficial to the experience we want to have and the energy we want to bestow onto others.
Being able to look at our thoughts as separate entities of ourselves rather than directly identifying with them, internalizing the negative voices, helps keep things in healthy perspective. I’m no stranger to dwelling in my sorrows far too long. Enough is enough.
The time is nigh for waking ourselves up. There is a lot of love to delight in and to share. May we uplift ourselves in that love through kind words and gentle acts of service. The future depends upon our capacity for kindness-that which we give to ourselves, we can more easily and readily offer to others.
We must tend to our wounds, so that our words won’t carry thorns. 🌹🥀🪨
