☙ Sweet sojourn in the sign of the scales ⚖️
Here, Venus is in domicile, right at home, once again. She starts at home within the sign of Taurus, journeying through the senses… and then comes around again to shine through a different iteration in Libra.
Look all around. What visual ecstasy do you see? The changing of the colors, swept into the air, the vibrancy of nature, the pairs of mating animals who have raised their offspring thru summer and now prepare for departure to warmer climes. The earth slowly settling into itself for winter.
We see Venus in Libra written in nature’s brilliant display of colors every autumnal season, and especially at sunset.
We experience Venus in Libra when we go beyond visual or social pleasantries and commit to loving all parts of ourselves and our people/partners: whether platonic, romantic, familial, business, roommate or landlord/tenant. Libra rules the 7th house of such partnerships, as well as marriage alliances bridging nations (sometimes to avoid wars). Libra is an interpersonal cardinal air sign associated with the intellect. It goes beyond the Venusian body and into the brains. So we can communicate with more than the body’s senses and enter the realm of cognitions, our thoughts. This is where Libra brings in the power of compassionate consideration, the viewing of “all sides.”

Sometimes when we want to put our best foot forward, we forget that we have two great feet. We need them both. This saying alludes to the desire to be seen at our best.
But I want people who can see+handle me at my worst, during my coldest winter, and help bring me back to my warm internal spring, with gentle reminders. I know I’m not the only one.
